For electricians
Quotes and invoicing for electricians
Quote the job, take a deposit on materials, invoice when you switch it back on.
Right now you probably use A duplicate book in the van, or a field service app at $29 to $129 a month built for a team with a dispatcher.
How a job runs
- 1Callout. You look at the job and write the price down, usually on your phone, standing in somebody's hallway.
- 2Quote. Send it before you drive off. The customer taps accept and it is on record with their name and the time.
- 3Deposit. Take money for materials up front, by card, so you are not funding the cable.
- 4Job. Do the work. Nothing to update, nothing to tick off.
- 5Invoice. Send the balance. Late payers get chased automatically instead of you doing it at nine at night.
What it looks like

What it fixes
Field service apps charge $50 to $150 a month for scheduling and dispatch that a one-van business will never open.
$17 a month, flat. No per-user pricing, because there is one of you.
Paper quotes get lost. Then the customer remembers a different price, and there is nothing on record to say otherwise.
Every quote has a link, a timestamp, and the customer's typed name on the acceptance. You can see whether they opened it.
Materials come out of your pocket first, and then the invoice gets paid whenever the customer feels like getting round to it. Sometimes months.
Take a deposit when they accept the quote, and the balance invoice chases itself if it goes past due.
What we call things
The app does not use every word you do. Here is the translation, so nothing is a surprise after you sign up.
- Quote or estimate
- ProposalRaoura calls it a proposal. Same thing: a priced document the customer accepts with one tap.
- Job
- Project
- Customer
- Client
Does it do job scheduling and dispatch?
No. If you need a diary that assigns jobs to engineers, buy Jobber or Tradify and pay what they ask. Raoura is for the paperwork and the money: quoting, deposits, invoicing, and chasing what you are owed.
What Raoura will not do
- No scheduling, no dispatch, no route planning.
- No stock or van inventory.
- One login. If a second sparky needs to raise their own quotes, this is not the tool.
Questions
Can I send a quote from my phone?
Yes. The whole thing works in a browser on a phone, including sending the quote and taking the deposit.
Do you say quote or proposal?
The app says proposal. It behaves exactly like a quote: line items, a total, and an accept button that records who accepted and when. We have not renamed it yet and would rather say so than pretend.
Can I add a late fee?
Yes, as a percentage, and you can turn it off for a particular invoice when a customer has a good reason. The overdue reminder mentions the fee only when it actually applies.
