Payment issues
Fixes for payments that fail or an online pay option that never appears.
Payment problems come in two flavors: the pay option is missing, or a payment attempt fails. Here is how to fix both.
Online payment is not offered to the client#
If your client sees the invoice or proposal but no way to pay online:
- Go to Settings, then Payments.
- Connect Stripe if you have not, and finish every step of its setup. Payment options only appear once it says connected.
- Until then, clients can still accept proposals and view invoices; they just cannot pay online.
A payment is not going through#
- Confirm Stripe is connected and fully set up (Settings, then Payments).
- Ask the client to try another card or payment method. Clients can pay by card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay, and the decline often comes from the card side.
- If it keeps failing, contact support via raoura.com/contact.
Reassuring a worried client#
Payments are processed securely by Stripe, a leading payment processor. The client's card details are never stored by you or by Raoura.
Where the money goes#
Successful payments go directly to your connected Stripe account, and Stripe pays out to your bank on its normal schedule. Raoura never holds your funds and takes no commission; standard Stripe processing fees apply.
