Raoura vs Moxie

Moxie's entry plan is cheaper than ours, and it does more things. We are not going to pretend otherwise. The question is whether you want more things, or fewer things that are each finished. Here is the case for both.

Disclosure. Raoura is our product. Read this the way you would read any vendor grading itself, and check Moxie's own pricing page rather than trusting either of us. Moxie's prices here were last checked in July 2026.

Where Moxie is better

We would rather you hear this from us than discover it after switching.

A cheaper entry price

$12 a month, or $10 on annual billing, beats $17 if Starter's feature set covers you.

Meeting scheduler

Clients book calls inside Moxie. Raoura puts your existing scheduler's button on the portal and proposals.

Automations on Pro

Moxie can automate chunks of your workflow on the $25 tier. Raoura prepares drafts and sends reminders, and stops short of a builder.

CRM depth

Moxie handles prospects with a full pipeline. Raoura's CRM is deliberately light: stages, notes, tags and follow-up dates.

Track record and education

Years of shipping, Trustpilot ratings between 4.8 and 5.0, and Moxie Academy. Raoura is new and has to earn that.

Where Raoura is better

Everything on one plan, with no tier decision

Moxie splits automations and more onto Pro at $25. Raoura's one plan costs less than Pro and has nothing held back.

A white-label portal on your own domain

Your logo, colors and fonts at portal.yourstudio.com, matched from your website in one paste. Nothing on it says Raoura.

Milestones clients approve and pay

Fixed-price projects staged, approved and paid one milestone at a time, with deliverables that unlock on payment and a comment pinned to the exact spot on a mockup.

Packages clients buy without a call

A service catalog, a storefront link, order forms that collect the brief at checkout, and subscriptions for packages that repeat monthly.

Less on the screen

If you actively do not want pipelines and schedulers taking up space, five finished things beat twenty you audit quarterly.

Who should pick which

Pick Moxie if

  • You want a meeting scheduler built in
  • You manage a pipeline of leads, not just active clients
  • You want automations and are happy on the $25 Pro tier
  • You might add a collaborator someday

Pick Raoura if

  • You bill fixed-price projects with deposits, payment plans or milestones
  • You want every feature on one plan, with no tier decisions ever
  • You want a white-label portal on your own domain without an upgrade
  • You sell packages clients can buy from a link

Questions

Is Moxie cheaper than Raoura?

On its entry plan, yes. Moxie Starter is $12 a month or $120 a year on annual billing. Raoura is $17 a month, $204 a year. Moxie Pro, where automations live, is $25 a month or $240 a year, which is more than Raoura.

Does Moxie take a cut of payments?

No. Payments go through your own Stripe or PayPal with no Moxie markup; the only extra is $1 per ACH payment for bank verification. Raoura is the same, without the ACH charge.

Does Raoura have time tracking?

Yes. A timer in the app, rates that fall back from the client to your default, and tracked time becomes an itemised invoice in one step. Pre-paid hours draw down first.

Which should a solo freelancer pick?

Moxie if you want a scheduler, a full pipeline and automations in one place and the Pro tier fits your budget. Raoura if you bill by project or retainer, want a white-label portal on your own domain, and would rather have fewer features that are each complete.

The long version

Try it on your next real proposal

Fourteen days, no card, nothing to cancel. Send one proposal, take one deposit into your own Stripe account, and decide with a real client instead of a feature table. $17 a month after that, flat.
